Transfers are closely monitored and regulated worldwide. To prevent money laundering or other illegal transactions, Opal Transfer applies preventive procedures in accordance with FCA rules. For this reason, we may sometimes ask you to send or upload from this page a copy of your ID or passport, proof of address or proof of income source. You will find all the information about how, when and what documents should be sent to us below. Please read it carefully!

Take a photo of yourself to verify your identity. Ensure your face is clearly visible, with good lighting and no obstructions.

Upload a clear photo of your passport or ID card. Make sure all details are visible and the image is sharp, with no glare or blur.

Upload proof of address

Upload a recent document showing your name and address (e.g. utility bill or bank statement). The document must be clear and issued within the last 3 months.

Opal Transfer EU UAB reserves the right to request additional documentation.

Since 01/01/2021 ID documents must be re-submitted for the transfers from the EEA: valid passport, EEA National ID card and UK or EU Biometric Residence Permit card. For the transfers from the EEA a Driving license is not accepted as the only identification document.

The document confirming your residential address must have been issued within three months of the upload date. Also, it should not have been obtained via the internet. If you are unsure about the type of documents or our upload requirements, please call Opal Transfer’s Customer Service Centre for further help.
